Gambling Community Benefit Fund Grant – Defibrillators

Earlier this year DISCO completed a funding application to the Gambling Community Benefit Fund to seek financial support to purchase 5 defibrillators to place in each DISCO office.

In late September the organisation received the positive news that the funding application had been approved.

CEO Mike Paton commented;

“This is a great win for the organisation and offers additional peace of mind for our staff, visitors and clients. This is one piece of equipment I hope we never need to use but to have it there just in case, is very reassuring.

An organisation like ours is not in a position to purchase items like this so to have the Gambling Community Benefit Fund decide to support us is really fantastic”.

DISCO will now have a Defibrillator based at its Ruthven St, James St and Snell St sites in Toowoomba as well as its site in Cunningham St in Dalby and Spencer St in Gatton.
